Das 5. Internationales Klassik-Tauchertreffen 18. und 19. Juni 2011

This year the meeting was very well attempted: there were three times as many visitors as last year, some of them coming from as far away as Holland, Poland, Czech, France, England, the USA and even Australia. On saturday the international meeting started with a dinner followed up by a projection of vintage diving films. On sunday morning the meeting was continued at lake Marxweiher near Altrip. During the event the main interest was vintage SCUBA equipment but apart from myself another passionate helmet man showed up: Thomas Müller had brought his Draeger equipment with DM40 rebreather backpack with him. This event is organized since several years by Franz Rothbrust of the diving club STC Nautilus of Neustadt an der Weinstrasse in Germany. The 2016 event is scheduled for June 11 and 12 2016. Historical Diving in Germany: June 18 2011: ‘HISTORISCHE TAUCHERGESELLSCHAFT’ founded!

Before the meeting in Neustadt a.d.
