The Peter Katz shallow water helmet
Peter Katz is of czech origin. After a career as chief designer with ‘Aquacentrum’ in Praha Czechoslovakia, Peter escaped in 1979 from behind the ‘iron curtain’. He achieved this with the help of a swedish company but later Peter moved to Australia where he is still living today ( see also the chapter ‘Czech Republic’ of this website ) In Australia Peter built himself a diving helmet, this website would not be complete without it. Also I would like to thank Peter for his contribution with many photographs covering the historical diving in Australia.
