Ted Eldred’s Porpoise ‘Universal’
Ted Eldred’s Porpoise ‘Universal’
In 1954 Ted Eldred’s also developed the ‘Universal’ version of his apparatus. Porpoise ‘Universal’ was unique. It was not just a single hose scuba. It was modular in design. You could attach any part to another part. You could add another air tank, or connect another hookah set, and extend your range. The late Universal had finger tight LP hoses. It had short hoses, long hoses, and yellow sport hoses. Every attachment was made so the user could do the work, with few or no tools, and no part was left out when the change was made.
